Selected new features and changes
Changes to the user interface
- Menu "courses"
- The "In preparation" section is displayed as a separate tab. This is only displayed if users are members of a course with the status "Preparation".
- Catalog
- The catalog can now be found in the main menu of OLAT and is no longer available as a separate tab in the "Courses" area.
- Execution period
- Under "Administration > Settings > Execution," the option "Semester" has been renamed to "Time period."
- Members management
- Redesign of the display of members detail information
Changes in course elements
- CE Question creation
- Export data to an Excel file for external evaluation of the questions
- CE Topic broker
- Extension of the allocation process (parameters can be weighted)
- Advanced export and import of topics
- New activity log
- CE Appointment scheduling
- Deadline for booking appointments can be defined
- Comment field for participants when booking
- Advanced filter options for participants
- Optional notification for organizers when appointments are booked or canceled
- CE Blog and CE Podcast
- Subscriptions (notifications) can be activated for new comments throughout the entire blog and podcast or for comments on selected posts.
- Content editor (content creator) in CE page and CE form
- Layout blocks can be duplicated
Changes in learning path courses
- If the assessment criteria for ongoing courses are changed, it is possible to specify for each participant whether to retain the previous assessment status should be retained or whether status changes based on the new criteria should be applied. Miscellaneous
- Usage for courses
- Under "Administration > Settings > Share," you can set an intended use for courses with the options "Standalone" (default setting) and "Template" (without members management).
