Course element “Peer Review”

Two different methods to setup a peer review in OLAT

There are two different ways to carry out a peer review in OLAT. These are:

  • Stand-alone course element “Peer Review” (described on this page)
  • Peer review workflow step in the course element “task”

You can find a comparison of the two options here

Peer review is a concept that is used very often in a didactic setting. It can be used both summatively and formatively.

In general, a peer review consists of more or less standardized steps:

  1. Configuration
  2. Task
  3. Review (Calibration, Peer Review, Self Review, and Expert Review)
  4. Grading

For this purpose, OLAT provides the course element "Peer Review".
