OLAT 7.0.0

Release planned for August 27, 2025

Overview of the main features

New course element "Topic broker"

The new "Topic broker" course element enables an automated and fair distribution of topics among participants. First, participants select and prioritize their preferred topics. In the subsequent allocation process, topics are assigned fairly, taking these priorities into account.

New course element "Selection"

(This function is only available in learning path courses.)  The new course element "Selection" allows you to offer multiple work assignments, of which participants must complete only a specified number ("x out of y"). Any course elements can be used for this purpose; they must be inserted as sub-elements under the "Selection" course element.

Course element "Task": Peer review feedback option

In the "Task" course element a simplified peer review can now be selected as a feedback option in the “Return and feedback” workflow step. A rubric questionnaire (learning resource “Form”) can be integrated for assessment and evaluation.
